Collegiate Inventors Competition 2024

Eligibility: Full-time or part-time students enrolled in a U.S. college or university between June 2023 and June 2024 are eligible to enter. In the case of a team, all team members must be enrolled as full-time or part-time students in a U.S. college or university between June 2023 and June 2024. Students who are currently enrolled full-time and will graduate in May or June 2024 are eligible. Non-U.S. citizens are eligible as long as they are enrolled in a U.S. college or university and can meet our student status requirements.

Ag Innovation Challenge

Eligibility:

1) The 2025 Farm Bureau Ag Innovation Challenge is open to all Farm Bureau members. To be eligible, Applicants must be a member of a state Farm Bureau at the time of submission of the application. Applicant must be headquartered or have a significant business presence in the state in which it is a Farm Bureau member. In addition, Applicants must be either a) at least 18 years of age and legal residents of the United States at the time of entry, or) a U.S. legal entity that is not owned, in whole or in part, by a non-U.S. entity at the time of entry.

2) All businesses entered into The Challenge must be for-profit. Non-profit businesses are not eligible.

3) Applicant Team Lead (who, in the event applicant is a legal entity, should be the most senior ranking officer or employee) must be at least 18 years of age to enter.

4) Businesses who have received a funding round beyond Series A (or a comparable funding round) are not eligible to compete in The Challenge.

Ag Innovation Challenge is a national business competition that showcases U.S. startups developing innovative solutions that address challenges facing America’s farmers, ranchers and rural communities. Now in their eleventh year, the American Farm Bureau Federation in partnership with Farm Credit, are looking to identify the top entrepreneurs who are addressing both traditional challenges farmers face on their operation, such as access to labor, optimizing yield and reducing operating costs, to entrepreneurs who are addressing new challenges facing farmers and rural communities.

Grow-NY Food & Agriculture Competition 2024

Eligibility: The Competition is open to all startups located in any state or country in the world that meet the Grow-NY definition of ‘Food and Agricultural Field,’ are early-stage, and have a scalable business model. To be eligible for the Competition, an applicant must be a registered, formative stage business entity that can enter into the Investment Agreement, such as a corporation or limited liability company (LLC), that meets two or more of the following criteria:

  • Less than seven years from the date of formal organization

  • Has its first product or service in testing or pilot production

  • Pre-revenue or early revenue

  • Has a leadership team working towards commercialization and profitability.

Technology Innovation Challenge Grants 2024

Eligibility: Proposals will be rated as highly innovative to dated, requiring capacity for successful execution. They must integrate core curriculum subjects (excluding life skills, test prep, and motivational courses) and be academically advanced, not remedial, but not exclusive to advanced students. Information on post-funding sustainability is essential.

Community College Innovation Challenge 2024

Eligibility:

  • Team composition: Each team must have 2-4 student members and a faculty/administrator mentor from the same college.

  • Student eligibility: Students must be seeking a two-year degree in the U.S. or its territories, be at least 18 years old by March 30, 2024, be U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents, and be in good academic standing.

  • Bootcamp attendance: Finalist teams must attend the Innovation Boot Camp in Washington, D.C., from June 10-13, 2024. Travel support will be provided.

  • Other restrictions: Teams cannot consist of members from multiple institutions, submit their innovation to other competitions, or have past finalists/winners on the team (except for mentors). Employees, contractors, officers, or judges of the sponsoring organizations are also not eligible.


    Prizes:
    Additional cash awards – awards are made to each first, second, and third place team member in the following amounts:

  • First place: $3,000

  • Second place: $2,000

  • Third place: $1,000

Circular Plastics Challenge

Eligibility: Undergraduate students, graduate students, and professionals from around the world are all welcome to apply.
Teams must have two to four members. Teams of one are not allowed.
Existing businesses and startups who are currently worth or raised more than $100,000 in capital are ineligible to participate.

Prizes:
The first place team will receive the $10,000 USD grand prize, with second and third place teams taking home $2,500 USD and $1,000 USD respectively.

CTIA Wireless Foundation Launches Catalyst 2024

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be registered and operate in the United States and/or the United States Territories.

  • Applicants must assume one of the following legal statuses: Nonprofit organization; For-profit organization with a demonstrated commitment to social good; or B-Corporation.

  • Applicants must complete and submit the application form by the submission deadlines. The Foundation will not consider late or incomplete submissions.

  • Applicants cannot be past or current CTIA members at any point in the application and awards process.

  • Applicants cannot be past Catalyst Winners. Past Catalyst Honorable Mention recipients may apply.

ISC3 Innovation Challenge 2024

Eligibility: All innovators and entrepreneurs owning or representing sustainable chemistry innovations from research institutes, startups, SMEs, or similar with up to 50 staff and a turnover under €10 million are eligible. This excludes major enterprise-owned entities, barring those creating independent spin-offs. Proposals from and addressing developing countries and female entrepreneurs are highly encouraged. Proposals are judged on innovation (uniqueness and originality), business viability (market potential and commercial feasibility), and sustainability impact.

Mayor's Innovation Challenge

Eligibility: Teams may have a maximum of three students, at least 50 percent of whom are currently enrolled in one of Kingston's post-secondary institutions. Teams will submit a two-to-three-minute video outlining their innovative idea in one of the challenge categories. Proposals from all academic disciplines are welcome and multi-disciplinary proposals are encouraged.

Ingenious+ Youth Innovation Challenge

Eligibility: Have parental or legal guardian permission to participate.

  • You and your team members must be 14 to 18 years old:

    • having reached your 14th birthday and not yet reached your 19th birthday at time of entry.

  • Your innovation project must be led and created by youth living in Canada.

    Prizes: Young innovators will be chosen from around Canada to each receive a $1,000 cash award plus mentorship.

  • Innovators can opt in to be considered for the national awards where 5 youth innovators will be selected to receive:

    • Customized mentorship from leading Canadian innovators.

Citi Foundation Announces 2024 Global Innovation Challenge to Strengthen Nonprofits Pioneering Solutions to Homelessness

Eligibility:
• Applicant organizations must be registered as nonprofit entities under local law. For example, for U.S. entities, applicants need to be tax-exempt public charities as per Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code.

• Applicants must be able to submit their most recent externally audited financial statements, including auditor’s notes, covering some part of calendar year 2022 or a subsequent year.
• Applicant’s proposed program must align with the Foundation’s mission of supporting low-income communities as defined by local standards and definitions.
• Applicant’s proposed program must impact one or more of the target geographies (see Q1).

Prizes:
The Foundation plans to award 24-month grants of $500,000 (USD) to 50 community organizations working in select communities where Citi has a presence.

OpenAir Carbon Removal Challenge

Eligibility: This challenge is open to all higher ed (undergrad and grad) students with any level of experience with carbon removal.
